Vector Product Format is a standard for computerized cartography. It is defined in document MIL-STD-600006. The Digital Chart of the World is a computerized map of the whole world which uses the VPF; its specification is in document MIL-D-89009 (superseded by MIL-PRF-89039). Both documents are available from the Defense Printing Service, 700 Robbins Ave. (Bldg. 4D), Philadelphia, PA 19111-5094 USA. Documents are charged based on a per-sheet photocopying cost.
